Hey! Long time no post. I decided to try my hand at gradients using the hot new tutorial by the Nailasaurus! However, I must have used old sponges, because I ended up with pieces of sponge on my nails :(
I started with three thin coats of Orly's Skinny Dip. Then I sponged China Glaze Up All Night. I'm rather impressed with my first attempt!
I intend to try again once I get better, newer sponges. I love the look of gradient nails! Also, the Nailasaurus is the ultimate tutorial queen! I am going to try more of them soon!

Sally Hansen Salon Effect 'Fur'ocious Vocals
Hey! This is my first attempt at using these strips, and I must say I am impressed. I saw the display for the Avril Lavigne inspired strips and snatched 'Fur-ocious Vocals' - teal and black leopard spots on a silver background. I forgot to take a photo of them in the box, and do you think I can find one on the interweb? Not of just the box, no. I did find pictures of Avril herself applying them - which I find hard to believe. She probably has people to do that stuff for her. Anyway - here is my first attempt with these strips.
See? Not too bad. They weren't as hard to apply as I thought they would be, and they look great. I'm definitely going to grab some more of these Avril ones before they sell out. They are handy for nail art I don't want to do.....
The only problem that I may have is the fact that I like to change my nails daily. If I was going on a vacation and didn't have the time, I think they would work great. I've seen wear tests that last over 10 days without major chipping or tip wear. Anyone out there used them? If so, what did you think?

China Glaze Electrify
Short post today - whenever I say Electrify, I think of John Travolta in Grease when he says 'ELECTRIFYING!' in 'You're the One That I Want'.
Once I had this on, I loved it. However applying it was a huge pain. This is three coats, a coat of Gelous, and two coats of Essie's Good to Go topcoat. It's already wearing on my index finger.
I'm torn. It's a love hate relationship for sure.

OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It!
So, I have awesome nails going on - one hand is complete nubbins, and the other is pretty decent! I did swatch this when I had nails though, so I'll start posting old stuff until I feel they are worthy of being photographed again.
I love this awesome blue foil party! It's the one polish from the Miss Universe collection I'm glad I bought. Two coats and you're done :)
So shiny - I actually haven't had any staining with it (knock wood)
Just to show you how much it glows - I was screwing around with my webcam when I was wearing this, and it totally steals this photo. And yeah, I am a giant loser.

Purple Nail Stamping!
Man, it's been too long! I've been busy with finals, acquiring a new cat, and moving my boyfriend into my apartment. I have some stuff to post, finally, so bear with me while it get back to this. I do still love my polish, don't you worry about that!
A week ago, I decided I'd use a polish I hadn't used since it was released - OPI's Grape, Set Match! I love it, but it needed a certain something to make it over the top. So I stamped it with my Bundle Monster plate with leopard spots using Julep Maria!
I got lots of compliments on it. It's probably my best stamping to date.
I love animal print in funky colours. I wish I could freehand it better - I'm completely artistically challenged. Thank goodness for stamping!
For a bonus - here's my baby Indy. I had him at home and he just got to live with me. He's such a suck too!

Day 8 - Metallic withe Lorelei's Tiara
I love this polish, but I hate how all glitter polish comes off in giant
chunks. I always have my right index finger pop right off! It's
ridiculous.
This is technically a glitter, but I consider metallic to be gold and silver, so I think it counts! I love that I keep justifying and making up rules as I go.
So many sparkles. It's like an ice queen. If I was the snow queen I'd wear this all the time.
